VertiRack™ was born out of necessity.

In 2007, Founder Bill Stoppi had a need for a vertically mounted ladder rack.  A vertical ladder rack that offered adjustability in ladder placement, and the ability to carry any type of ladder on the side of a vehicle. A rack that was easy to use, with positive retention of the ladders being carried and the ability to secure them against theft. A rack that would remain free of rust and oxidation, while continuing to look like new for life, and if removed, would leave minimal evidence that it was ever mounted to the vehicle. After a nine-month exhaustive search of ladder rack manufacturers, truck after-market vendors and the internet Bill determined that there was no such product available.

Necessity being the mother of invention pushed Bill into designing the current day aluminum ladder rack.  Bill expanded the versatility and use of his design to more than just ladders for more than 10 years.  Unfortunately Bill passed away in the Fall of 2019.

March of 2o21, Daniel Hodowanec, took active control of the company, the equipment and the patent. Dan, being a multi-talented outdoorsman,  sportsman and machinist is continuing Bill’s legacy to manufacture Vertical Ladder Racks for work vehicles to transport Ladders, Extension Ladders and Step Ladders along with custom installations for transporting your Surfboards, Stand Up Paddle Boards, Kayaks and Porta-Bote.
